Pop-Up Shop Wrap Up
Our most recent Pop Up Shop featuring our India Collection was a HUGE success!! I was overwhelmed with the amount of people who came and supported this evening and the American Foundation of Suicide Prevention. Thank you to all of you who attended and who made a contribution towards saving lives. For those of you who could not attend, well, you will just have to join us in November then (November 21-23 to be exact). The event raised about $10,000 and counting! The pajamas, caftans, and handbags were this shop’s biggest sellers. I have started a “wait” list for more pajamas after receiving more and more requests, so if you want in on this next order from India, just send me an email with your information and I will have a pair or two made for you. No more rhyming and I mean it (anybody want a peanut? Name that movie.).If you were not able to make it but would still like to support this great cause, please click HERE.

Spotlight on Designer Kriste Michellini: My Friend and Mentor
It is with pride and excitement that I am sharing the work of my dear friend, mentor, and travel buddy, Kriste Michelini, after she has just been awarded theLuxe Readers’ Choice Award for Classic Interior Design. Kriste and I met years ago at a designer conference in New York City hosted by Vicente Wolfand we became fast friends. Since then we have attended several industry events, spa “work” weekends, and just traveled to India this past winter together.Kriste established her design studio, Kriste Michelini Interiors, in the San Francisco Bay area in 2002 and quickly established herself in the luxury interior design world. Her award-winning design firm is known for its classic, contemporary interiors that are both well-edited and timeless. When you see her beautiful work, featured below, you will understand how deserving she is of this award, and of several others. Kriste has been named one of Traditional Home’s 2014 “New Trads” (a group of emerging designers redefining the traditional landscape), Houzz’s 2019 “Best of Design” and “Best of Customer Service”, and has been featured in several publications including: California Home + Design, Traditional Home, Martha Stewart Living, and Better Homes & Garden, just to name a few.And now, for your holiday weekend reading pleasure, I present to you, this award winning project by my incredibly talented friend, Kriste Michelini:

Subtly Elegant Home in Danville, California
Elegant and timeless, yet family-friendly, was the mandate for the home of a newly blended family of six in Danville, California. The 7,500 square-foot residence showcases a warm neutral palette woven throughout the five bedrooms and five bathrooms. When you enter, a striking staircase greets you, adorned with a custom plaster chandelier and scones.
The dining room features custom grid millwork, original artwork, and a brass sculptural chandelier.
The centerpiece of the living room is a grand, concrete fireplace, and the nano doors blur the lines between indoor and outdoor living, as they overlook a modern, 40-foot swimming pool.
The family comes together around a marble kitchen island with a banquette and glass pendants.
An innovative mudroom was designed to serve the organizational needs of everyone. The thoughtful design plan allows all six family members to feel at home in a reimagined space that brings the new family together. If you are interested in learning more about Kriste and her designs, you can find more information at her website by clicking the link here:kristemichellini.comSubscribe to her email list by clicking the link here:kristemichelini.com/subscribe
