Spotlight on Artist Sarah Raskey
I am thrilled and honored to collaborate with Chicago artist Sarah Raskey at the RNDD Gallery Walk this year. I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to not only show off her incredible works of art, but also her vision. Without further ado, I present to you: Sarah Raskey Fine Art.
Best known for her mixed media work, Sarah has an eye for artistic experimentation and creates with combinations of light, natural crystals, textiles, glass, metal, and stone, among an array of other materials. Her transformative technique yields results that become part painting, part sculpture, and entirely unique. In her own words, “[Sarah] is determined to use her work to speak of things such as the human condition and compassionate oneness” and her work references energetic frequencies, healing, expanding consciousness, and the sacredness of the creative spirit. While she is a true visionary artist, Sarah also balances her time with her private psychotherapy practice, Open Avenue Therapy, where she specializes in working with artists, musicians, entertainers, and other creatives.Sarah’s work has been featured in national and international residencies as well as commercial and hospitality settings, such as the above installation in the Hotel Allegro Chicago.
