May Pop-Up Shop
The Pop-Up Shop is TWO WEEKS away! Eeek! I’m so excited. If you want to get your hands on the items early, make sure to buy a “First Look” Event Ticket for May 16th. This event ALWAYS sells out and we only have 25 TICKETS LEFT! Don’t wait this one out!Get excited for a live DJ, refreshments, and small bites. Make sure to buy your ticket by clicking the link below:

100% of the ticket proceeds and 20% of sales go to the American Foundation of Suicide Prevention, a cause dear to my heart after the loss of my brother, Mark. Each year, suicide claims more lives than war, murder, and natural disasters combined. Yet suicide prevention doesn’t receive anywhere near the funding as other leading causes of death. Together let’s change the conversation about mental health and put a stop to this tragic loss of life.PS: If you can’t make the “First Look” Event, you can stop by all day on May 17 and 18 to shop!

Since the event is so soon, I wanted to share a sneak peek of a few of the items that I have collected from around the world for this season’s Pop-Up Shop:
__________
India
All of the pieces that I have curated have a reason and a story behind them. I know you will love this “India Collection”. Here is a sneak peek at what you can expect to see at the event. (PS: If you want to read more about my trip, click here: India or Bust)

__________
Caftans:
I had these custom made in Jaipur because I just love Caftans. These have so many uses! They are amazing beach cover ups, boho chic dresses, stylish lounge wear, tunics, nightgowns, resort wear, and on and on and on…They are made out of 100% cotton and are one size fits all. They also have drawstring around the waist so you can let it hang loosely or cinch it.
Pajama Sets:
Just like the caftans, I had these pajama sets custom made and they come in four sizes. I have both long and short sets that all come piped around the collar and cuffs. I love that these are presentable enough to wear when taking out the trash or in front of overnight guests. Plus, all of the clothing I had made is 100% cotton so it breathes and keeps us cool. You with me on this, ladies?
What else to look for:
Lots and lots of soft wool blankets, throws and cashmere pashmina’s. No imitations here.

Leather Purses and Notebooks:
Udaipur is home to my absolute favorite hotel ever, as you may remember (The Palace Hotel, for those who don’t). It is a very quaint, clean city that has gorgeous leather markets too. I found amazing leather bags and leather journals that I could not pass up. It was amazing watching these artisans work as they sewed on the “jewels” I handpicked to the chosen pieces.

__________
Handbags:
There was no shortage of handbags in the Delhi markets. Everything from the casual hide clutches to the beaded evening bags to the antique tapestry cross over bags were my favorite pieces I found. The people at the markets have a custom of the first person they come across that day to purchase something is good luck. Let’s just say I got there early and brought lots of good luck to the markets that day. Mother of Pearl Serving Utensils:These pieces were a spectacular find. Who doesn’t need a pair of Mother of Pearl Serving Utensils? These are a wonderful addition to your table setting and make excellent gifts for friends and family. It’s too early to shop for the holidays said no one ever…What else to look for: More handbags, plus lots of spices, teas that smell and taste amazing!
__________
Dominican Republic
I spent a full day in the Colonial Zone of Santo Domingo, while in the DR. It has a fascinating history, as it was discovered by Christopher Columbus as the first European city in the Americas in 1492 (yes, this is the first landing, folks) and home to the first catholic church, university and hospital. We visited wonderful shops and markets during our excursion too.
__________
Larimar Earrings:
Larimar is a rare and precious blue stone that is only found in the Dominican Republic. It is a stunner in its pale blue color. I was lucky to stumble upon this amazing jeweler in Santo Domingo who had the perfect drop earrings set in Sterling Silver. These would look amazing with a summer dress or at a black tie gala. I am tempted to keep a pair for myself, actually. Hmmmm… Fringe Bags:How fun are these bags? Great for the summer, if it ever decides to get past winter in Chicago. They are perfect for the beach, shopping at the markets, or just day to day. Great graduation gifts too. Hello chic summer bag person.
