Skincare:  You can call it vanity but I call it aging gracefully.

These 10 products are years and years of trial and error culminated into this one email.  There is high end and low end but all mixed together, it somehow works.Behold: My Skincare Bible.

__________

CeraVe Daily Moisturizing Lotion

Recommended by my dermatologist.  Yes, it is over the counter.  Yes, it is under $10 per bottle.  I use this as a full body moisturizer and a daytime face moisturizer.  My suggestion – buy it in bulk.

__________

Next up, Coming in under a mere $15 for a 16oz bottle, CeraVe Facial Wash.  I use this 2 times a day.  It is hydrating and it does not cause any irritation.  I love this brand.

__________

Cetaphil Gentle Cleansing Skin Cloths

So I read an article once that Asian women have such beautiful skin because they wash their faces twice, to make sure they got all the dirt off their skin.  It definitely made sense, but with what feels like 800 steps in my nightly routine, I just could not imagine it, so I bought these instead.  They take seconds, are great for traveling and you will not believe how much dirt you don’t get off with just one wash.  Ewwwww.

__________

Créme de la Mer Moisturizing Cream

I wanted to hate this when I first tried it, but there was no denying what it did to my skin.  I know the cost of this product seems absurd to some, but if I told you that each bottle lasts me almost a year, and I have truly never found a better moisturizer out there, maybe $15 per month is worth it to you.  It certainly is to me.

__________

La Mer Regenerating Serum

Again, absurd, but the best. I cannot say enough. I use just two drops all over my face before I put on my moisturizer. The bottle lasts years. Swear.

__________

Egyptian Magic All Purpose Skin Cream

I had a friend tell me about this product years ago. She said her mom read about it in a Town and Country Magazine when she was younger. I use this around my eyes every single night. I don’t know why it works, but it does.  That must be why they call it Egyptian “Magic”.

__________

Aquaphor Healing Ointment

I put this on my lips every night. It is also a wonderful protectant against the never-ending Chicago cold weather.  When my kids were young, I would put this on their cheeks and nose before they went outside and it kept them from getting chapped skin and lips. Works like a charm, every time.

PS: Aquaphor also comes in these small tubes that I keep in my car, put in the kids backpacks, on the nightstand, wherever.  Goodbye chapstick and Carmex.

__________

Rodin Face Oil

I just learned about the benefits of face oil 2 years ago and wow! what a difference it adds to your skin routine. They weren’t kidding when they said the older we get, the more moisture we lose in our skin. I mix 2 drops of this in with my moisturizer every evening and voila – smooth, soft skin.

__________

Pronexa Hairgenics Lavish Lash

My eyelashes are short and stick straight out.  The opposite of every girl’s dream.  I have used every eyelash product on the market to get longer, more lush lashes.  I paid the $$$ for big names but this one, at 1/4 of the price, works better than other product on the market.  You will love the results.
